A — OVERVIEW
My own portfolio, designed and built as a project in its own right. A terminal-brutalist identity with six complete themes — each with its own typography, texture and cursor — in English, Portuguese and Spanish, where changing theme or language feels like a transformation, not a jump.
B — CHALLENGE
Different fonts and translations have different sizes: a naive theme or language switch makes the whole page jump. The goal was zero layout shift in any combination.
C — SOLUTION
Titles are sized from a base unit so every theme keeps the same line height; each text reserves the space of its longest translation; the theme switch is a three-layer wave built on View Transitions. Scripts in Playwright measure every element across all themes and languages.
D — RESULT
The site you're on — and material for itself: every theme doubles as a case study of the same content under a different identity.
